Rock Candy Media, an Austin-based marketing and advertising agency, has added a video production department with two new staff members and plans to move into a new office space in North Austin to accommodate its growth.

The nine-person agency has been operating out of a Congress Avenue office and space at Tech Ranch Austin but will consolidate into a new 1,000-square foot space at Balcones Drive and MoPac Expressway. That move is expected to be completed in June.

Annie Jones, the company’s founder, said the expansion will let the company produce more video content for clients, which include Realty Austin, TekSavers, the Dobie Center and Austin Area Birthing Center.

“We always did our own scripts when we needed video done but when the client is choosing the actors and you’re going out to a production company to get the videos made, being in control of the quality starts to matter,” she said. “Video content is so important that is has to be a part of all the content strategy we do, and now (the client) doesn’t have to go to an outside producer.”

Jones said Rock Candy Media’s client growth should let it easily pass the $600,000 in revenue it was forecast to produce based on its first-quarter performance.
