We All Need to Stop

Guilty as charged. Now I’m one of them. Them? Those people that go out with their friends and have their cell phones out so they don’t miss a moment….online? Meanwhile, you’re missing a moment with your friends right in front of you!!!

How does this tie in with work? Well I’ve always described my creative process and needing space. By space, I mean I give my brain time to absorb, and it ponders on it’s own without me forcing it to. I ALWAYS get the aha moment. But you know what? It’s taking longer now. There’s too much information to absorb. Let me put it this way: we don’t NEED all that information when it comes to advertising. We need the gist of it. Then creativity will truly come to you.

In the meantime, I want to have REAL conversations and REAL moments that don’t necessarily involve ‘checking in.’
